“The tour itself was fantastic — Charlie, our guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly and the lunch at a local restaurant was a lovely touch. It is a long and hot day, so definitely bring sunblock. The only issue we had was with the driver. He was driving recklessly on the highway (around 150km) swerving through traffic, tailgating, and making many passengers feel unsafe. When we tried to raise our concerns, there was a language barrier and he didn’t understand us. We eventually had to call the tour provider, who then called him & asked him to slow down and thankfully after that he drove much more carefully.”

“The trip overall was fantastic. Pick-up ran pretty smoothly. Rest breaks were ok. Limited in food choices though, especially on the trip back to Istanbul. I think the day trip is pretty quick. Most of the day trip was the travelling to and from Istanbul to Gallipoli. Then you have about 4 really rushed hours around each of the Gallipoli sites. If you want the full Gallipoli experience I wouldn’t recommend the day trip. Book a full week and stay in the area. Bit expensive when I think about it. But I guess, it is a long drive. You definitely have to make the most of it once you arrive…”
